Initially, the brand focused on cream cleansers for the kitchen and bathroom, underpinned by its famous 'Skater' ads, which highlighted how scouring powders can 'scratch like skates on ice'.

More recently, Cif has extended its core strength – its 'strong yet gentle' cream heritage – into new arenas, giving consumers greater flexibility and convenience. In India, we've developed a specialist protective coating for our hand dishwash bar that prevents it turning 'mushy' when it's left in water. In the UK Cif has sponsored a popular prime-time TV programme, How Clean is your House about tackling Britain's dirtiest houses and toughest cleaning jobs.
